keep hands and nails healthy and neat
Get to know our tips to keep your hands healthy and aesthetic from home.
We are going to share some tricks to have always beautiful hands and nails. As we all know, having beautiful hands does not depend only on genetics, but you have to know how to take care of them. A basic principle is to use gloves when working with an astringent (such as liquid soap), not to mention washing them well before and after cooking and eating. Hands need our help to be beautiful and cared for.
Wash your hands regularly, with a soap according to the type of skin, or a neutral soap.
Always carry a moisturizing hand and nail cream in your bag. In any pharmacy or store with perfumery products we will find creams of different sizes and with different qualities. We recommend choosing the one that is most comfortable to always carry with you.
There are cooling hand masks, and their use is highly recommended. They can be made at home, such as with cucumber puree and coconut oil, or oatmeal and honey. Another option is to put the cream that we use daily in the fridge for a few hours and put it on our hands before going to sleep.
It is recommended to use nail strengtheners. There are many brands that have various options, and we also have homemade alternatives. Some examples of the latter are: Olive oil, mint and chamomile, or almond oil and egg, among others.
Use scrubs. Why is exfoliation recommended? Because the dead cells on the hands tend to darken them and make them rougher. That is why we recommend commercial exfoliants or homemade options: honey, sugar and lemon.
Avoid using hot water. We recommend using warm or preferably cold water, since hot water more easily sweeps the natural oils from our skin, causing dryness.
Another recommendation is the use of gloves to do housework, since the products we use are usually very abrasive.
Warm your hands with gloves in winter and protect them with a sun protection factor in summer. The cold of winter also causes the skin of the hands to dry out, and the sun's rays, as we know, also cause great damage to the skin. Taking care of both environmental factors is very important for skin health.
I kept your nails clean. Full-time. When washing our hands, we can use a brush to remove the dirt under the nails. A good finishing tip is to add, if we paint them with enamel, a top coat or a gloss once we finish painting them, since we make sure that it lasts a little longer.
